Transformed Farmhouse Kitchen Table

My sister-in-law has an excellent eye for finding absolute gems. This one is no exception.  While she and my wife were out shopping, she found this pedestal table for my daughter’s new place.

Surprisingly, the table was in decent shape, but was due for a makeover. So I bought it. If I told you how much I paid for it, you wouldn’t believe me.

I took it apart and completely stripped down the tabletop, while the base only required some sanding.  I used a combination of olive oil and vinegar to remove all the scuffs and scratches.

The table has three coats of stain and two coats of satin topcoat.   It turned out awesome!  Thank you Janis!!
