Good friends of ours recently sold their house and moved into a beautiful downtown condo. They wanted to add some dramatic character to their master bedroom, so decided to create a 9-1/2' x 8' accent wall at the head of their bed. They asked me to help them create it.
After considering many patterns and styles, Louise and Tyler decided on a beautiful geometric design. We started measuring out the pattern and used painters tape to mark up the wall. This provided a great visual as we went along. Note - this step is critical in getting the correct design. Don't underestimate the time required to do this!
To build the pattern, we used 1" x 2" MDF board from Lowe's.
The paint colour they chose is from Benjamin Moore's Classic Color Collection (Hudson Bay, code 1680) from Preston Paint Centre in Orleans. It looks awesome!
