One of my favourite online resources for woodworking instruction, videos, DVDs, ideas and information is Woodworkers Guild of America. As a member, I have access to a ton of awesome woodworking literature, classes, plans, etc. While browsing the website, I came across this Cordless Tool Station class, and needed to build one for my shop.
This project has it all: jigs, dadoes, rabbets, face frames, edge banding, pocket hole joinery, mechanical drawer slides, 1/2" overlay euro style face mount hinges (Blum Compact 38N355B.08), and drawer boxes made with lock rabbet joints on the table saw! Tons of learning opportunities!!
I started by bucking down the 3/4" plywood into manageable chunks and removed all the factory edges.
This project should be a lot of fun! I'll be posting pictures as I go along.
